The story of Carlile Coatsworth Architects begins in the late 70's when Jeff Carlile and Cal Coatsworth met in architecture classes at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Their shared passion in architectural design led them to start their own architecture firm a decade later where their concept to creation approach led them to larger and more significant projects.

Today, CCa has grown into a mid-sized architecture firm of twenty employees which includes five licensed architects and a long list of diverse projects. Focusing on the client's specific needs has helped us develop into the architecture firm we are today. Whether a project is retail, industrial, automotive or residential, our decades of experience ensure that clients are offered a superior experience resulting in a premium product. Our retail projects present shoppers with a unique shopping experience, our workspaces thrive and our tenant improvements foster communities – all because we passionately combine our collective experience in the pursuit of effective design solutions.
